A water sample is collected from the house and sent to the lab for analysis. Various contaminants are analyzed to determine whether the levels found in the water are above or below the acceptable levels as determined by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). A report is produced that shows the amounts of the various components and an indication of the acceptable levels. If any item exceeds those acceptable levels, the item is flagged as unsafe.
